The Best Casinos For the Aliens Slot
This classic sci-fi cult film is one of our favourites of all time. Rarely do you watch a sequel that is even better than the original, but you could argue that Aliens 2, the Movie did just that.
So Net Ent took a lot on their plate when they decided to design an online slot themed on the movie. Did they pull it off? Well, by and large, we think they did. Design wise, anyway (see below). This is a very atmospheric game along the lines of Microgaming´s The Dark Knight Rises Slot (another blockbuster movie slot) and the Top Gun slot machine from Playtech. If you want a sci-fi slot that is less moody, try the Cosmic Fortune slot which has more of a cartoon feel.
Aliens Slot – Pure Adrenaline
This visually stunning slot game is themed on 20th Century Fox smash hit blockbuster movie starring Sigourney Weaver. You´ll need to hunt down and terminate a load of Aliens in the free spins rounds. Net Ent have also teamed up woth Universal Studios on other movie slots like the Invisible Man Slot, for example (a higher volatility game).
The developers are Net Entertainment Slots, or Net Ent to their friends- it´s a great looking game this (but then they are famous for their visuals over at Net Ent.) It’s not all dark and creepy slots at Net Ent (we are thinking Aliens and their Dracula slot). They also do fun and breezy games like Disco Spins and Go Bananas.
The Game Play
There are 3 levels of play: ‘Level 1: The Search’ to ‘Level 3: The Hive’.
You need to get your head around the Alien Activity Meter to get to grips with this slot, so here goes.
Alien Activity Meter
You need to fill up the Alien Activity Meter to go through the levels. Every time you get a win, the winning symbols are added to the Alien Activity meter. A 1x multiplier is then tacked on for each symbol, so any more wins with the same symbol will build up this multiplier even more. Once you collect all 9 symbols on the meter, you head to Level 2: The Encounter. Get it? Don´t worry! That´s why we have the free demo game here, so that you can learn by actually playing the game.
If a spin doesn´t result in a win, the meter and the win multiplier go down by 1, so the meter fluctuates up and down.
When you hit a high multiplier in the base game, the wins start to roll in nicely. But we did experience a high proportion of losing spins at this stage when we played- I guess it depends on whether the slot is hot or cold. In this case, of course, the Aliens Activity Meter slips back to the start. You need to get into Levels 2 and 3 if you can.
Level 2: The Encounter
Your mission is to battle through the Aliens to the Hive of the Queen. This is the free spins round, basically.
The win multipliers you bagged in Level 1 are moved over, and you will also see an Ammo Clip Counter. Keep this full to keep the free spins coming. The visuals in this bit are superb- a real cross over into video gaming.
If you successfully keep the free spins coming (with more ammo), new symbols will load into the Alien Activity Meter at the top. If you fill all 10 spots, you’ll get to the final bonus game, The Hive.
Level 3: The Hive Feature
The hive feature kicks off with 5 free spins and Grenades, (with which to do battle with the Queen).
Your mission is to terminate the Queen (we are getting reminded of the Terminator 2 Slot Machine at this point). The Hive Health Meter will give you an idea of how you are getting on. You´ve got to complete your mission before you run out of ammo.
Once again, it´s pretty amazing on the eyes. But it can be a bit complicated to understand. Again, we´d suggest you play the demo and try to get to this level to test it out.
Each spin will determine the amount of damage you do to the Hive. The next spin determines the multiplier.
The Hive Health Meter will go down if you are in luck. If it gets down to zero, you have killed Queen and you get an extra win of 240x your bet.
If you run out of ammunition before the Hive Health Meter reaches 0, you return to the base game.
The maximum win is 570,000 coins.
5 Reel, 15 Pay-line Slot Machine.
Wild Symbol: The Corporation logo is wild.
While this is a visually stunning game (the best we´ve seen on that count, and for that reason alone it´s worth a go), regular slot players may find the action slow in the base game. It´s tough to get to the 2nd and 3rd levels, and you may start to lose interest if the reels aren´t coming up with the goods. I fear this game may be all fancy graphics and too little money action, but maybe we are being unfair. Give it a test and see for yourself.
