Arcader Slot

At first glance, the Arcader slot looks pretty basic. It’s themed on 80’s arcade games (they’ve really nailed the eighties synth background music), so that’s the point I guess. It’s only when you start playing this game that you realise what a cool little game this is. Every time you hit a feature, a female Android voice comes out with little pearls of wisdom like “Expansion”. “Great”. “Nice”. Classic!

It reminds us a bit of the Starburst slot – it just has that sort of arcade vibe (I guess it would have with a name like that).

This is a Thunderkick game- the guys behind the Babushkas slot (another favourite of ours). You can play the free demo here.

Let’s look at the features in some more detail shall we?

Arcader Game Symbols

You’ll be looking at pixelated bar symbols, 7s, bells, melons, lemons, grapes oranges and lemons- all in true 80s arcade style. So traditional symbols, bit with a retro twist that look pretty cool on the 5 reel, 3 row game. The whole design is made to look like one of those old stand-up space invader consoles. It isn’t as high tech as game like the Taco Bros slot, but it’s quirky! Great!

There are 15 fixed pay-lines on the game and you change your total bet amount by clicking on the coin symbol. But it’s the feature symbols you’ll have the most fun with. Thunderkick really know how to entertain- just try their Esqueleto Explosivo slot game and you’ll understand what we mean.

There are wilds, expanders, mystery game symbols and bonus game symbols.

Expanders
These symbols expand the reel they appear on and fill it with symbols that net you the highest win. Nice! They are the 2 triangles on top of each other

Bonus
The bonus symbols are scatters (land them anywhere)- 3 or more trigger the bonus game for free spins. the are the green “B” symbols- pixelated, of course. The number of free games and multiplier that is applied depend on the pay-table. On each free spin you have the chance of landing a Sticky Wild on on the middle 3 reels. They will then anchor here during the entire bonus which can be nice for wins. The Sticky Wilds are the green W symbols.

5 Bonus Symbols trigger  9 free spins at a x9 multiplier.
4 gives you 9 free spins at x4.
3 gives you 9 free spins at x1 multiplier.

If you get more Bonus Symbols in the free spins, your multiplier goes up.

Mystery Symbol
Then there’s a Mystery Symbol which is another scatter. If you get 3 or more you are into the Mystery Game which is a click and win type game. These are the pink M symbols. Keep revealing wins off the 5×3 Mystery grid until either you draw a blank or you reveal all of the wins behind the ? Symbols.

5 Mystery Symbols gives you a x6 multiplier in the Mystery Game
4 gives you a x2 multiplier
3 gives you a x1 multiplier.

Wilds
The blue W is the wild and will stand in for everything except for the Bonus Symbols and the Mystery Symbols to make up wins.

Summary

And that is the Arcader slot. We have to say, we almost shut this game down when we first saw it, because it doesn’t look like much when you first see it. But we loved it
