Welcome to Slotsites.com’s Game of Thrones Review Page!
Play this video slot game for free or real at one of Slotsites.com’s recommended Casinos above.
This is one of our favourite games from Games Global (ex Microgaming) after the Immortal Romance Video Slot. But that’s probably because we are big Game of Thrones fans.
There is a 15 Pay-lines version and a 243 Ways to Win version.
The Game of Thrones Video Slot is one of the Microgaming’s top games. If you like the smash hit HBO TV series, you’ll love it- it uses lots of clips from the series which makes this game a big entertainer.
Game of Thrones Slots: The Details
Screenshot
Game of Thrones is a fantasy themed slot that can be switched between 2 modes: the 243 Ways to Win mode, and a 15 pay-line mode. Think of it as a way to change the variance of the slot.
The 243 Ways to Win is slightlt more volatile. Ramp up the variance to get less frequent, but bigger wins (like the Great Blue Slot).
Compare this to other movie slot releases from Microgaming such as their Jurassic Park Slot Game, which is 243 Ways to Win, and 243 Ways to Win only.
It’s all based on the fantasy novels by George R.R. Martin, and his series of books called “A Song of Ice and Fire” (Game of Thrones was the first book in this series).
Pros and Cons
Multiple options in the free spins bonus: choose a House.
Choose between 15 pay-lines or 243 Ways to Win
Authentic background music
Re-trigger the free spins in the bonus
Could have been more exciting with video clips from the show.
Bonus Features
If you land scatters, you will trigger a scatter win: a random cash prize multiplied by your stake.
To get into the feature (free spins) bonus you’ll need 3, 4, or 5 scatters anywhere on the reels.
Once you are there, you’ll need to choose a Royal House which comes with its own specific offer.
1. Baratheon gets you 8 free spins with a 5 x multiplier. 2. Lannister gets you 10 free spins with a 4x multiplier 3. Stark gets you 14 free spins with a 3x multiplier and 4, Targaryen gets you 18 free spins with a 2x multiplier.
You can re-trigger the free spins in the bonus with 3 more scatters.
You have to pick a house! Don’t sit on the fence. There’s also a Gamble Feature (Heads or Tails).
Summary
This was one of the first slots we can think of where you can choose between 243 Ways to Win and 20 pay-lines. Test the slot out and have a play around to see if you can spot any difference in the level of variance.
A smash hit, just like the TV series. We love it, although we do think that the designers could have incorporated more clips from the TV show into the game. Maybe they had their hands tied in that respect?
Not as many as we would have liked! You do get clips on the Gamble Trail. After a win, you get the chance to gamble your winnings on four levels: 3-Eyed Raven, The White Walker, The Direwolf and The Dragon.
If you like fantasy themed slots, you could also give the Arctic Enchantress a spin. The graphics are better and the game incorporates the Link & Spin mechanic.
