What exactly is the MultiWay Xtra feature, and how does it change the way wins are calculated?
MultiWay Xtra is IGT’s proprietary ways-to-win system that runs alongside the standard 40 fixed paylines. When activated, MultiWay Xtra wins are formed by the same symbol appearing on contiguous columns starting from the left. More than one matching symbol in the same column multiplies the award, as each symbol position functions as a separate reel.
Under the MultiWay system, if you land a duplicate symbol in the same column, your win is multiplied. The same symbol can also appear in several positions on the same reel, which means the number of paying combinations can stack up quickly.
MultiWay Xtra wins are independent from payline wins and are added to the total payout on top of any line wins. -
Where do the Wild and Scatter symbols appear?
The Wild, (the game’s logo), only appears on reels two, three, four and five. The Bonus (Scatter) symbol, the Trojan Horse, appears in column three only.
The Wild cannot substitute for the Scatter. This means the Bonus round can only be triggered from a single central column, which is a tighter trigger condition than many slots where scatters can land anywhere across the reels. -
How does the free spins round work?
The Free Spins Bonus is triggered by landing two or more Bonus symbols on any of the centre column reels. The more Bonus symbols that appear, the more free spins are awarded. Two horse symbols award 10 free spins, three award 15, and four award the maximum 20 free spins.
The round’s real value comes from two factors.
First, the Free Spins Bonus runs on richer reels with more ways to win than the main game.
Second, the bonus can be retriggered multiple times; it continues until 0 spins remain, 130 free spins have been played, or the maximum award is reached.
