Playtech’s God of Storms slot is one of the epic Age of the Gods series of games, which stars those impressive, muscle-bound gods of ancient Greece. This game has got some “puff” to it!
This is a five-reel, three-row slot with twenty-five pay lines and a top jackpot win of 2500x your bet. The RTP is 96.1% on this low-variance game from Playtech.
Features include a Bonus Game, Pick ‘n Win Game, Multipliers, Progressive Jackpots, Re-spin Wilds and Re-spins.

Playtech is the company behind the Gaelic Luck slot machine and Furious Four (another Age of the Gods title) so we were expecting big things from this game.
The divine one at the centre of the fun in this game is Aeolus, the Keeper of the Winds.
Let’s see if we can scoop some heavenly winnings and see what the big guy is up to shall we? It’s time to take on the wrath of the wind!

The Age of the God series is right up there when it comes to looks. The setting of the game is an idyllic sunset over the rooftops of an Ancient Greek city- probably Athens by the look of it. The reels are set in marble splendour, like a piece of ancient art. We love a classically designed game like the Age of Egypt slot and the God of Storms is firmly in this category.
The background sounds to your spins are chirping birds, the sea, the occasional fanfare and electronic beeps.

The high-value icons of play are a gritty-looking helmet-wearing red warrior, a sword-toting green woman in armour, and an archer in purple. There are also a couple of Greek favourites such as the Greek amphora and a sea-churning monster that looks like Scylla. The lower value icons are the Ace through Ten in ancient golden letters.
Not scared of mixing things up, Playtech has created two different Wilds to spice things up.

The big rewards are triggered by landing a Stacked Ship Wild on a reel which will trigger the main event, the “Wild Wind Re-spin” where you get a free spin.
After the spin, the big man, Aeolus, the Keeper of the Winds, turns up on the right of the reels blowing the stacked Wild ship one reel position to the left and increasing the multiplier as it goes: first, it is 2x, then 3x and then a divine 5x.
Just keep landing the ship stacked Wilds and the sky is the limit!
As with its sibling slots, God of Storms, shares a big progressive jackpot with the other Age of the Gods games. There are four prizes up for grabs for the player who can call on the favour of the gods- the Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power jackpots which are won at random, but bigger bets increase your chances of triggering the jackpots.
If the gods smile on you, you will be in line for one mighty treat.

God of Storms is part of the Age of the Gods jackpot network, which is networked between all slots in the series (and Playtech’s Age of the Gods Roulette game). The Jackpot game can be set off on any spin randomly, including losing ones. The higher your bet, the higher your chances of triggering the bonus.
Once you get into the bonus game, you will head to a second screen with a 5×4 grid with twenty jackpot coins, each one concealing one of the four jackpot symbols. Match three symbols to win that prize.

As part of the Age of the Gods series, the God of Storms slot is a solid addition but it isn’t as full of extras as some of the other games. However, the potential to land the generous Wilds gives this game a boost in terms of its winning potential. And of course, there’s always that divine progressive jackpot just waiting to be won.
You can now also play God of Storms II and God of Storms 3, although we like the original game.
